Intel loses case over unwanted emails from ex-employer

The US Supreme court has ruled against Intel in an email case involving an ex-employee. The long-running dispute between Intel and Kourosh Kenneth Hamidi began six-years ago after Hamidi was fired by Intel. He responded by blitzing Intel's email system - sending complaints about its work practices to those who had been his fellow workers - and that's when Intel took legal action. ...more

Apple announces that the new iPod shuffle will be available from Friday, 3 November. Half the size of the white, gum packet-shaped shuffle that it replaces, the aluminium matchbook design weighs just 24g. The Microsoft money machine keeps on turning

Microsoft has turned in its results for the quarter ended 30 September and they are powered by increased server sales. Strong performers for the quarter have been a 20 per cent growth in sales for Microsoft's Windows 2000 Servers, in particular the Windows 2000 Advanced Server, which doubled in sales, and a 30 per cent increase for the .NET Enterprise Server family. ...more
