RealNetworks makes mobile moves

RealNetworks has made moves to put its RealSystem iQ content delivery system at the forefront of new mobile technologies. It has today joined the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) as a voting member and the packet-switched multimedia specification group, SA4, confirming its intention to play a prominent role in the emerging third-generation mobile markets. Apple unveils 2in thick iMac G5

Apple has unveiled the new iMac, mounted entirely in its display. The iMac G5 is, says Apple, the world's thinnest desktop compute, with a 17in or 20in LCD display, slot loading drive and G5 processor squeezed into a 2in thick casing. Apple has just announced an 8GB model of the iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition - in response to 'outstanding customer demand', according to the company. Microsoft launches desktop search tool

Microsoft has pronounced its Windows Desktop Search product complete and has officially launched its desktop search product. It provides a means for users to find documents and files across their hard disk or the Internet in a relatively seamless fashion.
