EMI's tills are ringing as download takings grow fourfold
Music publisher EMI has seen a fourfold increase in its digital downloads revenue in the past year according to its Chairman Eric Nicoli.
Introducing the group's interim results, Nicoli said 'and I am very encouraged to report that EMI's digital revenues more than quadrupled at constant currency in the first half and now represent more than two per cent of Group turnover.'
As with all music publishers, there is almost an audible sigh of relief as they finally turn digital music from illegal file-sharing into a revenue stream. ...more

The HP LaserJet 1000 will be HP's cheapest LaserJet when it launches in the UK for ?277.30 (including VAT) this Autumn.
