Nasdaq threatens Apple with delisting

Apple has been threatened with delisting from the Nasdaq, after the exchange's Listing Qualifications Panel ruled that it is not in compliance with the filing requirements for continued listing. The Nasdaq's decision was prompted by Apple's announcement that it was delaying the filing of its latest Form 10-Q filing, a report on the company's performance during the financial quarter to 1 July. Allofmp3 reappears after three days

Music downloads site Allofmp3 finally reappeared yesterday after three days' absence had spawned rumours that it had been shut down. The disappearance of the controversial Russian operation had followed remarks by the country's president, Vladimir Putin, about the importance of intellectual property, leading to fears that the high profile site had been the victim of a clampdown. However it seems that the downtime may have been down to problems with the new Linux servers it has installed to replace its ageing Windows 2000 boxes. ...more

New anti-trust judge makes first order

The new judge in the Microsoft anti-trust case has made her first ruling, but it is only to set the timetable for a status meeting on the case. Newly-appointed District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, has ordered the two sides to report on the remaining issues by 14 September and set a meeting on the status of the case for the following week.
