Investigations by the BBC reveal that in the face of imminent competition from the iPhone, mobile manufacturers have very different views over what makes a good phone. Two men accused of cracking commercial software and posting it on the Internet were described in court yesterday as having the delusion of being 'latter-day Robin Hoods', reports the BBC. BT appeals for more female engineers

BT says it will spend ?200,000 on a campaign to convince more women to join the ranks of IT engineers. The telco has announced plans, which coincided with International Women's Day, to increase the number of women in engineering roles with an apprentice attraction campaign touting the benefits of being an engineer - a job they say is 'not just for blokes'.
