RealNetworks announces Helix Player project for Linux

RealNetworks has set up a project to build an open-source media player based on its Helix technologies for Linux, Unix and Solaris. PlusNet offers broadband guarantee

PlusNet is offering anyone who signs up for its broadband services the option of switching to another ISP if they are not happy. Under the terms of the PlusNet Guarantee, the ISP will pay any migration fee charged by another service provider if, after 45 days, a new customer 'is not completely satisfied'. Computer users warned over US daylight saving hours

Computer users are being warned to make sure that they are ready for a change in US daylight saving hours, to be introduced in 2007. A new energy bill passed by the US Congress and due to be signed by President Bush today will bring daylight saving - the equivalent of the UK's British Summer Time - forward by three weeks in order to cut energy consumption.
