LaCie has unveiled a new range of flat panel displays designed for what it calls 'digital professionals', particularly those working in editing, design and layout. The 100 series comprises the 119 (19in) and 120 (20in) models with Premium MVA (Multi-domain Vertical Alignment) LCD technology that provides high contrast up to 1000:1 in the 120 and 777:1 in the 119. UK broadband infrastructure falling short - government body

The UK's broadband infrastructure may be unable meet the future needs of intensive Internet users and content providers, according to the government's advisory group on broadband and digital convergence. In a report published today, the Broadband Stakeholder Group (BSG) says that unless uncertainties surrounding next-generation broadband are resolved within two years UK competitiveness may suffer and the digital divide widen.
