GTA: San Andreas guns for Xbox and PCs

The controversial video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be coming to Xbox and PCs in 2005, its publisher Rockstar Games has announced. Already a best-seller on Sony's PlayStation 2- it was straight in at number one in the UK games chart at the end of October - the havoc-creating game will be heading to Microsoft's rival Xbox console and PC platforms. Apple has begun including a simple cover with the most recent shipments of the iPod nano. The decision to provide protective covering could be seen as a tacit admission that the player is indeed prone to scratching. HP releases ultimate DVD/CD-RW combo drive

Hewlett-Packard has launched an internal combination DVD/CD-RW drive. Retailing at $349, the 9900ci is an internal IDE drive with 12-speed write, ten-speed rewrite, 32-speed read and eight-speed DVD read performance. This should be a good upgrade route for users with only a CD-ROM drive, offering both DVD and CD-RW capabilities while taking up just one drive bay. ...more

Microsoft to see sales resurgence, says new study

Microsoft appears to be at the start of a resurgence, according to a new survey by SG Cowen. More than half of the 500 companies surveyed for its second quarter report said they intended to spend more with the company, with just 6 per cent looking to cut back.
