Investor to sue SCO over 'inconsistent' revenue forecast

Venture capital company BayStar is to launch legal action against SCO. Last Friday, SCO said that the US Security and Exchange Commission had declared effective the filings that retired BayStar's Series-A1 Preferred stock in return for cash and common stock. But BayStar quickly followed with a statement saying that SCO had breached the investment agreement between the two companies and that as far as it was concerned, it was still holding the Series-A1 Preferred stock and intended to file 'action requesting a declaratory judgment,' against the company. ...more

Sony Ericsson unfolds first 3G phone

Sony Ericsson yesterday unveiled its first commercial 3G phone at the 3GSM World Congress, Cannes, France. The Z1010 is a dual mode UMTS/GSM-GPRS phone, providing an always-on network connection. Its 'clamshell' design contains two displays - a 176x220 pixel, 65,000-colour one on the inside, for video conferencing and viewing multimedia content, and a small mono display on the outside, so the phone can still be used when closed. ...more
