There's a bilingual worm on the loose, according to Sophos. While it's unlikely to garner the infamy of Sasser, the security company says it has received numerous reports of Famus-A, as well as of variants B and C. Skype groups itself for business

Skype wants to get into businesses, with the announcement that it is allowing centralised distribution of its paid-for services so that businesses can set up accounts across a company from a single point. The new service is called Skype Groups and, available in beta since September, is now officially launched. A single user can purchase credit for the entire company for SkypeOut calls to fixed and mobile lines, Voicemail, buy SkypeIn numbers, and distribute them to the members of the group. ...more

Xbox Live hits Europe

Xbox Live - Xbox's dedicated online gaming service - has officially launched in Europe today. Xbox owning masses, with broadband Internet connections, in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Holland and Sweden can now trip down to the local games shop, pick up a Starter Kit, and get hooked in. Siemens and Airbus are working together on a system to enable ordinary mobile calls by passengers on board flights.
