At the top of the charts, by far, was Internet auction fraud, comprising 43 per cent of all referred complaints. Sony cuts 10,000 jobs worldwide

Sony is to cut 10,000 jobs worldwide, around 7 per cent of its workforce, and sell more than $1bn of assets in order to reverse its recent disappointing performance. Chief executive Howard Stringer hopes that the restructuring will give an annual saving of $1bn. Microsoft prices and dates OneCare service

Microsoft has revealed more details of its all-in-one PC care service dubbed OneCare Live. Already in beta, the subscription-based package will be officially released in the US in June from retailers and via the Web. A year's subscription will cost $49. ...more

AMD's new processor for notebook PCs, the Mobile AMD Duron, is now available. A derivative of the AMD Athlon and AMD Duron processors, it's aimed at "value-conscious" home and business users.
