Credit card scam Nets 10,000 users

An audacious online credit card scam succeeded in stealing the card numbers of 10,000 Brazilian surfers. The Associated Press reports that clients of a Brazilian Internet portal, Universal OnLine (UOL), received a fake e-mail from the company asking them to fill out a form to re-register. Microsoft teams up for virtualisation with XenSource

Microsoft is teaming up with virtualisation open-source company XenSource to develop interoperability between their respective hypervisor products. The collaboration will result in Xen-enabled Linux platforms being run on Microsoft's virtualisation technology in the upcoming version of Windows Server, code-named Longhorn. Adobe offers plug-in for on-the-fly web editing

Adobe has released a plugin for GoLive CS2 that enables Web authors to create areas on a website that can subsequently be edited and updated by another party without having to resort to the original code. Like Macromedia's similar Contribute tool, Adobe Co-Author lets designers designate editable regions of a site. Then the co-author, the ongoing editor uses the same application to make their changes, without needing to know any HTML or more complex code. ...more
