Nokia and DoCoMo join up for open mobile middleware

Just hours after Sony and Nokia agree to collaborate on an open standard for middleware to make multimedia content viewable on any device, NTT DoCoMo joins the fun. NTT DoCoMo, the company behind i-Mode and FOMA (the world's first 3G service), will be working with Nokia to accelerate development of an open mobile architecture for WCDMA-based (Wideband CDMA) 3G services in areas such as browsing, messaging and application execution environments.
