A website flaw that revealed the personal details of people applying for visas in Britain was left unchecked for a year after the problem was first reported, according to PC Pro's internet security expert. The bug occurred on the VFS India website, The British High Commission's partner for processing UK visa applications from India. NEC screens its 50 incher

NEC has unveiled a 50 inch flat screen plasma XGA monitor for multimedia displays. The monitor, known as PlasmaSync 50MP1, has a resolution of 1365x768 and a split screen display that allows images from multiple sources to be displayed simultaneously. EU closes in on Microsoft fines - reports

The EU has begun moves to impose huge fines on Microsoft for failing to comply with the 2004 antitrust ruling, according to reports. The Associated Press says that competition regulators met yesterday to approve the imposition of penalties that could be as high as EUR€2mn every day.
