Government launches online child safety campaign

The Government has announced it will begin a new advertising campaign warning of the dangers to children when online and on mobile phones. Previous campaigns have proved effective, with a decrease from 40 per cent to 27 per cent of children who use chat rooms and instant messaging willing to give out their email address. Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer has announced the availability of the company's Virtual Server 2005 Service Pack 1 (SP1) beta version at the annual Microsoft Management Summit. SCO takes Visa, Mastercard and American Express for Unix IP licences. SCO has made its Unix IP licence for Linux available on its website for what it describes as the 'many customers [that] are concerned about using Linux since they have become aware of the allegations that Linux is an unauthorized derivative work of the UNIX operating system'.
