Sony promises Mac and PC compatibility for the PlayStation Portable

Sony has revealed that it will provide Mac compatibility for its PlayStation Portable (PSP). Speaking in California, Yair Landau, vice chairman of Sony Pictures, said that software to plug the handheld gaming and multimedia device into Macs and PCs would be ready within a year. Microsoft has made a further win for its European IPTV empire with an agreement with Deutsche Telekom to provide the technology behind its broadband television services. AMD takes almost 10 per cent of Q3 chip revenues

The market recognition of AMD technologies in processors is at last starting to pay off in cash terms. According to market research from IDC, the Sunnyvale, California company took a shade under 10 per cent of all chip sales revenues in the third quarter of this year, the first time it has done so since Q1 2002. Microsoft repackages server support for small businesses

Microsoft's Small Business Server 2003 Service Pack 1 is a roll-up of updates including Windows Server 2003 SP1, Exchange Server SP1 and recent security bulletin releases. Another update included is the Intelligent Message Filter, providing anti-spam protection. With SP1, Exchange is automatically configured to filter out mail sent to accounts that do not exist in the Active Directory directory service and there is also functionality to prevent spam senders from using such filtering to harvest valid accounts. ...more
