Strato stands in way of Apple iPhone trademark

Apple's apparent intention to register iPhone as a trademark for its anticipated mobile phone may encounter a significant obstacle should the company hope to sell it in Germany, after an Internet provider there launched a VoIP service bearing the same name. Strato's iPhone offers free Internet-based voice calls to other iPhone subscribers, plus low-cost calls to landline and mobile phones. IBM 'to sell its PC division'

IBM is in negotiations to sell its PC division according to the New York Times. The paper reports that the company is speaking to China's biggest manufacturer Lenovo (formerly Legend) about the sale of the division which designs and markets desktop personal computers and notebooks for somewhere between one and two billion dollars.
