IT lure of London is second only to San Francisco

London is second only to San Francisco as a location for technology companies, according to a new survey. More than 43 per cent of senior California-based ICT executives cited London as a global centre of convergence for the technology and creative industries, ranking the UK's capital second only to San Francisco. Criminals are using a known vulnerability in some older Symantec corporate products to redirect legitimate URL requests to spoofed sites - a process known as 'pharming'. Russia calls for file sharing legalisation

Russia's chief prosecutor has called for p2p file sharing to be legalised, saying that it would help to combat 'piracy', according to a Russian news website. 'A threat to intellectual property rights in the Internet remains underestimated,' deputy prosecutor general, Vladimir Kolesnikov, told the country's parliament.
