NME is to pilot a peer-to-peer radio service under the brand MyNME Radio. Based on technology provided by partner Mercora, the beta service will allow users to access each other's music files and stream them across the Internet. Intel to introduce a 'Celeron Centrino'

Intel is planning to introduce a cut down version of the Centrino platform, according to an industry source. A 'Celeron' version of the Pentium M - which, along with the Wireless LAN support and 855 chipset, forms the Centrino platform - would address the value end of the bourgeoning laptop market. Bill Gates gives boost to Computer History

Bill and Melinda Gates' charitable foundation has given $15mn to the Computer History Museum in California. The donation from the trust set up by Microsoft founder and his wife will be used to create an interactive exhibition showing the history of computing and its impact.
