Bristol to expand city centre Wi-Fi network

Bristol City Council has announced a major extension to the city centre wireless network that was first installed in 2004. The area covered by the free WiMax network will be expanded fourfold to include key business areas, transport routes and several 'disadvantaged' communities. Everyone's favourite e-tailer, Amazon, has been knocked off the top spot by the online auctioneer site eBay. The latest Nielsen/Net ratings report reveals that a rise in Net traffic to the eBay Web site totalled 4 million visits in March, giving them a total number of visitors of 22.1 million. ...more

The console Sony said was unhackable has fallen to those electronics wizards of the soldering iron. The PlayStation 2 model SCPH-15000 was said to be hack resistant, but like most things, it was just a matter of time before the next-generation console fell to the hackers.
