BT confirms 1Mbit broadband launch date

BT Wholesale has announced that its IPStream 1000 ADSl broadband service will be launched on 20 November. Many ISPs are already selling 1Mbit connections based on the IPStream trial and customers who have signed should notice no change in their service. Carnivore system revealed to be just part of "Dragonware"

A senior Congressman has criticised the independence and scope of the Justice Department's review of the "Carnivore" e-mail surveillance system. In a letter to Attorney General Janet Reno, House Majority Leader Dick Armey has cited documents that indicate Carnivore is just one of a group of monitoring systems.
