Apple's release of iTunes and the accompanying Music Store for Windows has met with a mixed reaction, with some users reporting problems in Windows 2000 and Microsoft claiming that it will be of limited appeal to PC users. Google hires the Father of the Internet

As part of its continuing campaign to sign up the biggest guns in Internet development, Google says it has hired Vinton 'Vint' Cerf who is widely credited as the Father of the Internet. BMW crashes its Google ranking

BMW and other manufacturers face delisting from Google's index for their shabby web activities. Google engineer Matt Cutts writes in his blog that BMW's German website was somewhat duplicitous, presenting different pages to Google's search bot than it does to actual viewers.
