AOL pops pop-ups

The next version of AOL's Internet browser will include the ability to block pop-up adverts. AOL 8, which is due to be released in the UK within the next three months, will allow users to block all pop-ups or to specify which sites they do and do not want to receive pop-ups from. Poor card vetting at ATMs helped criminals make off with nearly $3bn in cash plundered from the accounts of users duped into handing over sensitive information in online scams. Critical hole revealed in Unreal Tournament

Gamers have been warned that the Unreal Engine, found within a variety of games as well versions of Unreal Tournament, contains a critical security flaw. Described as a 'Query Buffer Overflow Vulnerability', the 'highly critical' flaw could let an attacker execute arbitrary code on affected machines.
