Web fraud exposed

More than 90 per cent of online credit card frauds don't lead to prosecution, according to a recent survey by credit rating agency Experian. Apple to release two phones in the New Year - analyst

Apple will release two mobile phone models in the first quarter of 2007, according to Prudential Equity Group analyst Jesse Tortora. Both will have iTunes support for music playback, while one will also have video capabilities, Tortora said in a note to investors. 'We have learned that one model will be a smart phone, including integrated keyboard, video and music capability, while the other model will be a slimmer phone with music capability,' he wrote. ...more

EFF signs up Novell for software patent disputes

Novell has signed up to support the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and its patent busting campaigns. The organisations have announced that they will work on reforms to software patents worldwide. As well as lobbying governments and international organizations on patent-related issues - specifically the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) - Novell says it will contribute 'significant resources' to EFF's 'Patent Busting' project. ...more
