Resistance mounts to government ID scheme

ID card plans are suffering an identity crisis by way of public perception. Although a recent MORI poll would have us believe that 80 per cent of us thought national ID cards are a good idea, another poll conducted on behalf of Privacy International finds this to be far from the case, with millions of us prepared to take to the streets in protest over key issues.
