NTT DoCoMo is to introduce its 3G FOMA service to Europe through a showroom in Paris, where punters will be able to try out the service by a direct connection to the Japanese network. Broadband Britain still waiting to be activated

A report from the Work Foundation's iSociety has highlighted that the traditional marketing ploy of speed, permanence and film trailers is not what turns the UK public on to broadband services - ISPs need to fix the problems of spam and viruses first. The report - Fat Pipes, Connected People - Rethinking Broadband Britain - shows that public enthusiasm for the Internet, be it narrow- or broad-band has been dampened by the darker side of surfing. Canon fires off two professional bubble jets

Canon will launch the S9000 and S900 colour bubble jet printers at the beginning of February, the first of which offers borderless photo printing at up to A3 size.` Both of these super-fast printers can turn out a colour A4 sheet in just over a minute at 1,200x2,400dpi (and just over two minutes for a colour A3 sheet with the S9000).
