Kazaa fights back with lawsuit against the RIAA

The owner of the Kazaa P2P file sharing software has filed a lawsuit against the RIAA, the body that represents the major US record labels, and movie studios, accusing them of using an unauthorised version of Kazaa known as Kazaa Lite. Sharman Networks files the suit on Monday, alleging that the RIAA and the studios violated its copyright by using Kazaa Lite. Flickr lights up APIs for rivals

Photo sharing website Flickr has had a change of heart over its previous refusal to share the APIs for the Yahoo!-owned service. As things stood, Flickr users could only upload pictures with no interface for exporting them, despite assurances in the site's terms and conditions that they retain ownership of their images.
