Adobe's profits jumped 37 per cent in the last quarter, fuelled by strong sales of its core software products. EU gives Microsoft one week to avoid €3 million daily fines

Microsoft has just one week to supply the EU with revised documentation on server interoperability or face fines of up to €3 million per day. Under the terms of a March 2004 ruling on its antitrust practices, Microsoft is obliged to disclose interface documentation that would allow non-Microsoft work group servers to achieve full interoperability with Windows PCs and servers. Microsoft opts for SiS for next gen Xbox

Microsoft has signed a deal with Taiwanese chip maker SiS (Silicon Integrated Systems) to develop a new range of I/O technologies for use in the next generation of Xbox games consoles. The move follows hard on the heels of the announcement that Microsoft has selected the IBM chips to power the next generation of Xboxes rather than Intel devices.
