NEC screens its 50 incher

NEC has unveiled a 50 inch flat screen plasma XGA monitor for multimedia displays. The monitor, known as PlasmaSync 50MP1, has a resolution of 1365x768 and a split screen display that allows images from multiple sources to be displayed simultaneously. Creative has announced the impending availability of its 500Watt MegaWorks 510D speakers. The suite comprises five satellites and a powered subwoofer and maintains a digital signal right up to the speakers via 24-bit 96Khz digital-to-analogue converters. Spammers latch on to bird flu scare

Online drug peddlers are putting users lives at risks by flooding mailboxes with spam urging people to buy the anti bird flu drug Tamiflu, SophosLabs warned today. The security firm has reported that an increasing number of junk messages claiming to sell the much sought-after Tamiflu have been picked up by its spamtraps. The drug is believed to be the most effective at protecting humans from the H5N1 strain of the bird flu virus. ...more
