Oracle sues SAP over software theft

Oracle has sued SAP for 'corporate theft on a grand scale,' claiming its rival used its customers' online access codes to steal copyrighted software. Oracle, which is battling with SAP in the market for software that helps companies automate business functions, accused the German company of gaining repeated and unauthorized access to its password-protected customer support Web site. Bebo is on song with new music service

Social networking website Bebo is allowing aspiring musicians to upload as much of their music as they wish, in an attempt to wrest users from MySpace. The site's new Bebo Bands section has already attracted more than 10,000 registrations, ahead of the formal launch at the end of this week. Liberty adopts Trusted Transaction platform for mobile data

The standards body Liberty Alliance has announced it is to incorporate the Radicchio initiative for secure m-commence and mobile data services. The initiative is hoped to allow ISPs and telcos to develop standard methods of authentication and sharing personal data across mobile networks. The Radicchio alliance, which is a partnership dedicated to developing secure m-commerce and data services, has delivered Trusted Transaction Roaming platform (T2r) to the Liberty Alliance. ...more

Skype musters handsets for Net telephony offensive

Wireless networking specialist Netgear has announced a cordless phone that connects directly to the Skype Internet telephony service. The phone does not require a computer but will need access to a Wi-Fi Net connection, either at home, work or via a public hotspot.
