Police failing to prioritise cybercrime, peer warns

According to an independent peer, Lord Erroll, not enough is being done to prevent low-level cyber-crime as it is not a priority to the police or Home Office. Speaking at Microsoft's Architectural Insight Conference being held at the Celtic Manor resort in Wales, the peer said that cybercrime has been a contentious issue for some time and is not going away. Robot submarines continue their advance across the world's oceans

The Met Office has announced that it is halfway towards its goal of a network of 3,000 robot submarines patrolling the world's oceans. The Argo Programme now has 1,500 of the planned instruments at sea - known as Argo Floats - with the aim of monitoring the salinity and temperature of the oceans.
