Apple subpoenas 'rumour' sites to find leak

Apple has been granted permission to subpoena three Mac-oriented websites as part of its attempt to discover who leaked confidential information about a future Apple product. AppleInsider and PowerPage will be ordered to hand over 'documents relating to the identity of any individual or individuals who have knowledge regarding the source of posts on its site disclosing information', The Mac Observer has discovered. IBM subpoenas major tech firms over SCO dealings

IBM has subpoenaed major tech firms and investors to come clean about their relationship with SCO, hinting at a revelatory period in the multi-billion dollar Unix IP suit. SCO, which alleges IBM has improperly used Unix intellectual property it claims as its own, forged a series of agreements that added confidence to its position in the years before and since it launched its suit.
