Yahoo! reports online advertising boom

Yahoo has reported record third-quarter revenues, with a growth in online advertising of 46 per cent from last year. The Internet giant's financial results beat Wall Street analysts' estimates by $14 million dollars, giving the company a revenue of $932 million. Japanese gov pleads for citizens not to use file-sharing software

The Japanese government has pleaded with citizens not to use file-sharing software after the country's classified nuclear secrets were leaked, reports a Japanese newspaper. Last summer, it was discovered that a contractor had leaked information on Japan's nuclear power plants because he had the Winny file-sharing software installed.
