Too much iPhone speculation damages Apple - analyst

American Technology Research has warned investors that Apple shares may be over-valued as a result of speculation about a forthcoming 'iPhone'. Analyst Shaw Wu has removed Apple from AmTech's Focus List of stocks to buy, noting that since Apple was added to the list, following his analysis of its mobile phone strategy, shares have appreciated 15 per cent, while the Nasdaq has risen just three per cent 'While we remain long-term positive, we believe Apple shares may reflect too much near-term cell phone optimism,' he wrote in note to investors. Compaq updates its Internet PCs

Compaq has also announced availability of 2GHz Pentium 4 systems, within its updated Presario range. SanDisk develops T-Flash removable, intelligent mini-storage

A new fingernail sized flash memory format has been introduced that will make removable storage possible in much smaller devices than at present, including mobile phones. SanDisk has developed the T-Flash, which at 11x15x1mm is a quarter of the size of the smallest flash memory cards currently available and compatible, via an adapter, with any SD card reading device. Being removable will make it ideal for transferring data such as phone numbers and settings from one phone to another, SanDisk says. ...more
