US authorities recruiting at Defcon

Nasdaq stock exchange threatens to delist SCO

Controversial Unix company SCO is in the dog house with the Nasdaq stock exchange, which is threatening to delist the company if it doesn't straighten out its finances. The troubles centre on accounting procedures for its employee stock purchase plan that delayed the filing of its 10K annual report - due at the end of January. Motorola hopes to make widespread video calling a reality with the launch of its Ojo Personal Video Phone. AMD inks deal with XenSource for virtualisation package

As part of its campaign to land those big company accounts, AMD has announced that it has signed a deal with XenSource, to port Xen, the leading open-source virtualisation software to AMD64 range. Dell takes the Windows out of n-Series PCs

Dell is to begin shipping Precision and OptiPlex corporate desktops with an 'n' addendum - signifying the absence of Microsoft's Windows operating system, or any other. Instead the machines come without any OS pre-installed. And to get around Microsoft licensing terms that require PCs to ship with an operating system, a copy of FreeDOS is included in the box. ...more
