According to reports, the latest instance of the country's information largesse involves sensitive security information about a thermoelectric power plant run by the Chubu Electric Power Company, including the plant's security arrangements, the names and addresses of its security personnel, and other confidential information. ...more

As part of massive company restructuring, Gateway is on the verge of closing down its UK and Irish operations. AMD squeezes Intel on cheaper chips

While the chip giants know they should avoid a price war in a slow PC market, AMD has followed Intel's price cutting move within days. Dell turns to Google for bundling options

Dell is looking into shipping PCs with Google software pre-installed according to reports. Google announced its Google Pack during its keynote at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January comprising its own search, comms, mapping and image software, as well as a range of third-party components such as the Firefox browser.
