Finnish security experts F-Secure are warning of a fake Microsoft bulletin being spammed out since early this morning. The email claims to be bulletin MS05-039, although June's patches were numbered -034. Police foil Al-Qaeda plot to blow up UK Internet

Police have uncovered a plot to blow up the UK's Internet hub in London, according to reports from the Sunday Times. If successful, the suspected Al-Qaeda plot could have knocked out most of Britain's Internet services. The newspaper reported that the Metropolitan Police discovered computer files indicating that terrorist suspects had been planning to infiltrate Telehouse in London's Docklands with the aim of blowing it up from the inside. ...more

Adobe cuts the price of education

Adobe is offering a huge education discount on six of its Web and print publishing applications. Comprising InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive and LiveMotion, the 'Education Print-to-Web promotion' costs ?315 and is aimed at students, teachers and lecturers. Yahoo! details UK Panama rollout - Internet World 2007

Yahoo! has given more detail about the UK roll out of its Panama platform, for managing online search-related marketing campaigns. In a presentation entitled 'The future of search and search marketing' Yahoo!'s UK Regional Sales Director, Richard Firminger, outlined more details of the software that is crucial for Yahoo! to try and regain the initiative from Google and its rival AdWords programme.
