Despite Microsoft, Linspire holds on to Lindows parent name

Linux distributor Linspire (nee Lindows) has won its latest battle against Microsoft in the Dutch courts. A Judge has told the company that it can make limited use of the name Lindows on its web site according to the IDG News Service. After losing an earlier round in a Dutch court, Lindows had changed its trading name to Linspire after Microsoft successfully claimed that Lindows infringed the Windows trademark. ...more
