One in five managers sceptical about home working

Research published this week suggests that a handful of managers are still resistant to the idea - and the reality - of flexible working. Despite the backing of many professional bodies and government spokespeople, some managers still equate being away from the office with not working. The DTI has collared crooks who made ?3 million from an Internet scam and barred them from directing a company for 10 years. The pair set up a website that tempted victims in on the promise of a free holiday. On visiting the site, victims were then offered access to significant savings on holiday accomodation. ...more

Anti-Apple EU action over competition not clear cut

Legal opinion appears to be divided over whether the European Commission will tackle Apple for alleged anti-competitive practices. While individual countries have raised concerns about Apple's refusal to allow devices other than its own iPods to play songs downloaded from the iTunes Music Store, the EU has so far kept its counsel.
