Novell is to offer standard pricing for the SLES (Suse Linux Enterprise Server) platform on IBM blade servers, regardless of the hardware configuration. The offer for the IBM BladeCenter chassis is independent of processor type or number, catering for Intel, AMD and Power-based CPUs in a single chassis with a single subscription. Amstrad's e-m@iler subscribers moved to Thus

Amstrad has announced that it has moved the entire user base of 201,000 e-m@iler and e-m@ilerplus users away from BT and on to Thus. The company says the move means that Amstrad 'will now receive an increased proportion of revenues generated.' As part of the deal, Thus and Amstrad have enabled e-m@ilers to receive SMS text messages from mobile phones. ...more

China has accused the International Standards Organization of insulting the country and waging a conspiracy against its WAPI wireless encryption technology.
