It seems that the lure of the Internet is too strong for even organised religion, as a group of Dutch nuns have become so hooked on the World Wide Web that they plan to open their very own cyber caf?. The ten nuns have found their new vocation after PCs were installed at the Mater Misericordiae in February and they've been religiously been attending workshops to get them online. Google translates search to translate results

Google has added a new feature to its Translate tool that enables you to search foreign language websites using English search terms. It works by translating the search terms into the specified language - in our example [see picture] the term 'belgian beer' was accurately translated to 'bi?re belge'. Commons Committee warns of risks to E-government

The House of Commons Public Accounts Committee has warned the Government that its plans to provide all its services online by 31 December 2005 is at risk. The danger is that the public will not use the services unless they 'see real benefits in doing so'. The Committee says in its latest report that the government has committed some ?10 billion on 100 major IT projects for providing services as diverse as applying for a fishing licence to filling in tax returns. ...more
